R.O. LERVICK ARABIANS

The Lervicks first fell in love with Arabian horses when Grandpa Arne Lervick purchased a gelding for their daughter, Tammy, in 1973.  Forty plus years later, R.O. Lervick Arabians is an established, strong, and well respected name in the Arabian horse industry.

Farm owners Roger and Linda Lervick are natives of Stanwood, Washington.  Roger Lervick is Chairman and CEO of Stanwood’s family owned business, Twin City Foods, Inc., the largest independent frozen vegetable processor in the world.

R.O. Lervick Arabians is located in the beautiful Stillaguamish Valley, about an hour’s drive north of Seattle.

The Arabian horse farm sits on 30 acres and features a main 50-stall barn with a 70′ x 160′ covered arena, three heated wash racks, four “ready” rooms, two heated drying rooms, and two tack rooms.  Upstairs in the main barn are three offices, an apartment, restrooms, and a comfortably furnished viewing room that overlooks the spacious indoor arena.

Surrounding the main barn are several pastures and paddocks lined with white board fence.  A 12-stall mare and foal barn includes sophisticated breeding facilities and laboratory.  Additionally the full-service facility features a 90′ x 200′ outdoor arena, covered bull pen and hot walker, 10-stall overflow barn, a 60′ x 80′ hay storage barn, and 24-hour staff.

Our Manager/Trainer Dennis Wigren has a long list of national show ring credentials in Halter, English, Western, Hunter, and Driving.  Dennis enjoys assisting amateurs to reach their show ring aspirations.  The farm staff consists of nine full-time employees.

The farm is proud to manage a renowned training program & breeding program that are both nationally recognized for quality halter & performance horses.  R.O. Lervick Arabians has consistently garnered the respect of its clients and the industry through professionalism and integrity.

Our farm is happily open to the public.

Athala Arabians

A straight Egyptian Arabian Horse Breeding Farm located in North Scottsdale.  We are a boutique breeding farm focusing on Straight Egyptian Arabians. We feel blessed to have these incredible animals in our lives and welcome you to enjoy them as well. We invite you to contact us directly if you would like additional information on any of our animals or breeding program.

We are all “enlightened” by the journey of this spectacular young stallion.  Born prematurely, his life from the beginning hung in the balance, and could so easily have been lost, but fate came into play.  ILLUMINATUS had two special people in his corner.  Following months of diligent care, including several surgeries, he joined the herd of Athala Arabians.

In 2014, ILLUMINATUS lived up to his name, just like his two special people, Athala King & Maureen McCormack, knew he would.  His first two foals, in his first breeding season to two maiden mares pregnant on first attempts.  He “enlightened” the world with his gifts of two spectacular foals.  ILLUMINATUS is writing his legacy, now is your chance to be a part of this special journey, join the ILLUMINATUS story and be enlightened.

At the heart of every Arabian horse owner is the search to bring out the true essence of the Arabian in all its glory, beauty and nobility. That search now leads to one magnificent young stallion, A Illuminatus who “lights the path” to the treasures of the Arabian horse.

Many years ago, a young girl growing up in Texas dreamt of owning her own horse. With her father in the Air Force, that was an impossible dream, so she read every book about horses she could find. The wonder of The Black Stallion series captured her heart, and a love of the Arabian horse began that lasts to this day.

That young girl grew up, married a young man from Virginia who delighted that young woman with an incredible graduation present: a purebred Arabian mare.

From the gift of that one mare grew the concept of breeding and raising Arabian horses. Daughters of Bold Fire, Khemosabi, Aladdinn, and Fire Chief found a new home at Whisana Farm. The wonderful Bay el Bey son, Cinco Bey, sired many of the babies that would begin their lives at the farm and go on to major wins.

After travelling to Arizona for many years to attend the Scottsdale Arabian horse show, the Fergusons purchased 29 acres in Cave Creek, Arizona. A decision was made to retire there, and plans were put into place. Building of a house and barn was started and proceeded slowly.

The move was a story in itself. Horses were shipped to Arizona. The horse trailer was loaded with personal belongings and Jim and Gilda set out on the journey to Arizona to the new ranch.

The ranch is located in the foothills above Cave Creek, commanding an incredible view of the surrounding mountains and is adjacent to the Spur Cross Preservation area.
